A U.K. privacy group has issued a scathing report on large Internet players’ privacy records, going so far as to flunk Google altogether.

Google buying DoubleClick a privacy killer?

Microsoft say that it is. Read the article here. Seems to me that its more about money then privacy. However they do make a good point about the amount of private information Google will have their hands on. Analysts have been saying: “Google keeps data and logs of searches conducted on the web service — DoubleClick currently uses a technology that is able to remember which sites a user uses to help deliver relevant ads.”
