Phishers attempt to fraudulently acquire sensitive information, such as usernames, passwords and credit card details, by masquerading as a trustworthy entity in an electronic communication. According to this study some teens are concerned about privacy. Two thirds of teens who have an online profile restrict those who can access it. Parents should still be cautious though because many teens still reveal personal information on social networking sites.
